Alright, without further ado, let’s kick off this first newsletter 🚀
Podcasts
On Purpose - Jay Shetty and Joe Dispenze - Spotify / YouTube / Apple Podcasts
Still one of my favorite podcasts of them all - On Purpose with Jay Shetty. In this episode, he dives deeper into the power of the mind with Joe Dispenza. He’s a neuroscientist and educates people on how it’s possible to chemically improve your body by just using the mind. Oh, and yes, by the way, he self-healed this scattered back by visualizing and firmly believing in the rehabilitation process - just over 10 weeks.
Such a remarkable episode, go check it out!
Three of Seven Podcast - Chad Wright & Greg Armstrong - Spotify / Apple Podcasts
Imagine running instead of 1 marathon, running 4 back-to-back. Yes, that’s what these legends did. In the pouring rain, they ran 100 miles (approximately 160 kilometers) in over 27 hours. How about that?
Besides discussing the human physical capabilities, they’re also touching on touching on sustainability and reducing our ecological footprint.
A little impression of this daunting race can be found on Instagram here.
Video
Ray Dalio - How The Economic Machine Works - YouTube
Especially during these economically unstable times, it’s a good idea to understand more of the way how our economic machine (yes, it’s a full-grown machine) works. In this 30-minute video, Ray Dalio easily explains how all cogs both collaborate and counteract with each other. On top of that, the video is accompanied by beautiful animations.

Adrien Book - The “Next Big Thing” in Technology: 20 Inventions That Will Change the World - can be read @ Medium
I often think and visualize how the future will look like. However, to be able to do so, it’s required to pay attention to the things that are happening around us at this moment. This article on Medium beautifully outlines the 20 inventions that - in the perspective of the author of course - will change the world.
Jessie van Breugel - You Are Not Your Job Title - can be read @ Medium
I believe in the uniqueness of every human being and want to create more awareness that we’re much more than just our job title or profession. Everyone possesses a unique, specific skillset which they are the most proficient at.
Book
Tony Hsieh - Delivering Happiness - to grab a piece
I’m re-reading for the second time. It’s really inspirational to read how he possesses this entrepreneurial mind from a young age. Building worm farms in order to sell them, all the way up to building Zappos to a billion-dollar empire. The book is written in such an informal and fun way that most likely you’ll finish it real quick.
So, there you have it - the first edition of Knowcast 💪
What would you love to see returning or what part(s) can better be left out?
All feedback is welcome, and again - thanks for reading and hopefully till next time!

Great piece Jessie!! Keep it up like this. I loved the article about next big things in tech and 100% agree with your statement "you are not your job title" as it is just a fraction of ourselves. Reminds me of: being in a leading position does not make you a leader, having no leadership position does not prevent you from being a leader.
